I work with CSD because I am able to have a direct, positive impact on our future by creating more opportunities, resources, and accessibility for the Deaf community.

I am primarily responsible for researching legal issues and policy, drafting and analysis of contracts, and supporting CSD’s business units. I recently served three years on the State Bar of Texas Disability Issues Committee, where I focused on promoting the Communication Access Fund, which reimburses Texas attorneys for the cost of auxiliary aids and services (such as interpreters or CART) when meeting with clients who are deaf, deaf-blind, or hard of hearing. I hold a bachelor’s degree with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin and a juris doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center.

I work with CSD because I believe in what CSD represents: Independence, respect, and equality for all. It’s not work if you love what you do!

I have the pleasure of providing direction and strategy on business development and customer relationship management for CSD’s Contact Centers and our Connect Direct service. Previously, I was Chief of Staff & Strategy at CSD, where I oversaw company goals and business development. I also work with the CSD board and maintain strategic relationships with customers and business partners.

Prior to CSD, I worked at the regulatory commission for the State of Kansas. While there I helped to establish the first ADA mandated Telecommunications Relay Service in the state. Immediately following, I went to work for Sprint Corporation to establish its TRS program. I was introduced to the CEO of CSD and CSD quickly became a part of Sprint’s go-to-market strategy. After 25 years, that strategic partnership continues today.

I attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Wichita State University and hold a BA/BS from the University of Kansas.

I work with CSD because of the opportunities we are able to create for our community, a community rich in unity, diversity and life experiences. By leveraging the power of our community and the breadth of resources available through CSD, we seek to create a better world, a One World that we all share.

With this, I am focused on two main areas: I am working with our CSD Leadership to help shape our strategic initiatives and I lead the CSD Social Venture Fund. It is through these two areas of focus where we are able to bring innovation from within and out.

Prior to CSD, I spent 14 years with Accenture supporting Fortune 500 clients around the world, helping clients address some of their most pressing issues. My work helped with identifying value to drive improved competitiveness and growth, building a new Joint Venture, to helping clients understand impacts of new operating models led by disruptive technology (automation, machine learning, AI).

I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University.

In a world where rapidly advancing technology is touching nearly every aspect of our lives, CSD has the capacity through its technology centered initiative, CSD Labs, to ensure those advancements are efficiently utilized to identify, develop, and implement solutions capable of making more apparent the incredible value Deaf people bring to the workplace and society, and increasing the number of self-empowered, self-actualized Deaf individuals.

I am a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Computer Science and Villanova University with an MBA. In the data privacy realm, I hold a Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). I currently serve as Chair of the Board Directors for the Deaf Hearing Communication Centre (DHCC) in Philadelphia, as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Pittsburgh, and as member of the Board of Directors for the RIT/NTID Alumni Association in Rochester.
