Professional Development: International Education Consortium

AP World History Summer Institute

July 28 - August 1, 2008

Who Should Attend:
The institute is especially designed for teachers at middle and high school levels-especially those currently teaching AP World History and those preparing for or considering offering the course in the future.  These teachers will find this experience just what they need.

The workshop is also valuable for those teachers who teach world history outside the AP framework.  Experienced teachers can retool and rethink how they are presenting the material in their classrooms.  New teachers will work with experienced colleagues to identify skills expected of students and specific topics for inclusion in their curriculum.

Graduate Credit
Southeast Missouri State University will award 3 graduate credit hours FREE to Missouri residents who teach and live in Missouri, and who complete the Institute successfully.  Registration for credit will take place after registration for the institute.
