CSD Recognizes Local Missouri Gold Star Schools
Four St. Louis-area schools honored
The Cooperating School Districts of Greater St. Louis, Inc. (CSD) congratulates four area Missouri Gold Star Schools. A total of 15 Missouri Gold Star Schools are being honored during the 2007-2008 school year.
The four St. Louis-area Missouri Gold Star Award schools are: Hixson Middle School, Webster Groves School District; Brentwood High School, Brentwood School District; Metro High School, St. Louis Public Schools; and McKinley Classical Jr. Academy, St. Louis Public Schools.
The Missouri Gold Star Award program operates in conjunction with the national Blue Ribbon Schools program, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education.
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) will honor all of the Gold Star Schools at a reception on Tuesday, May 6, in Jefferson City. Each school will be showcased during the event.
