Internet Safety Night
CSD serves as St. Louis-area host site for nationwide interactive videoconference
Cooperating School Districts of Greater St. Louis, Inc. (CSD) is once again hosting Internet Safety Night, a nationwide interactive videoconference, which will cover information and resources for students, parents and members of the community. Internet Safety Night, organized by MOREnet, will be held on Wednesday, April 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. CSD is located at 1460 Craig Road.
Internet Safety Night will discuss online predators, cyber-bullying, identity theft, P2P/Copyright Issues and other Internet-related issues and cover important safety tips to help keep everyone safe while using the Internet. The goal is for communities to pull together experts and resources to begin a discussion about the importance of Internet safety.
The keynote speaker for Internet Safety Night is James Finch, Assistant Director of the FBI Cyber Crimes Division.
The goal of Internet Safety Night is to begin simultaneous discussions from around the country with participants being able to see, hear, ask and answer questions in real time with participants at any of the other sights. A national host site is Columbia, Missouri with Cooperating School Districts providing a St. Louis-area connection.
