Inservice Training

Have videoconferencing equipment, but don't feel you are utilizing it to its maximum potential? New Links offers free inservice training sessions to its members and low-cost sessions to non-members.

Call Rebecca Morrison at 314-692-1274 or Megan Moncure at 314-692-1202 to schedule a training date and time. This can be done either on-site or over the videoconferencing equipment. We recommend at least 2 hours for the training, but a half day is better.

Participants are introduced to videoconferencing and its possibilities for curriculum enrichment and increased student outcomes. They are guided through the design of a virtual field trip and given hands-on practice using the equipment--connecting, moving the camera, accessing peripherals, using presets, muting the microphone, etc. And finally, they are introduced to content providers & ways to go about finding appropriate content.
