Discovery Education Professional Development through CSD
CSD’s Virtual Learning Center provides training for Discovery Education streaming, DE Science, DE Assessment and DE Health.
The possibilities of using Discovery Education streaming are endless. This incredible resource empowers educators to capture teachable moments in the classroom, incorporate clips into multimedia presentations and student learning environments, and is ideal for project and inquiry-based learning.
I. At Cooperating School Districts or at YOUR District
For Missouri schools who purchase DE streaming through CSD, we offer FREE Discovery Education streaming trainings in our tele on the second Monday every other month, during the 2011-12 school year. Others may attend the training at our regular price. Please check the tele website for more information or contact at 314-692-1259 to register.
The tele (technology enhanced learning environment) is located at 1460 Craig Road, 63146 (Hwy 270 & Olive). Each hands-on workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Bring a friend or come by yourself. The dates below are scheduled for this school year. Space is limited so register early!
Basic DE streaming training is free for those who receive DE products through CSD. Others may attend at the regular rates. We offer this training every other month on the 2nd Monday from 8:30-3:30 p.m. during the school year. Register on our tele website

Advanced DE streaming is offered at your location or ours. Learn how to use DE streaming content to create SMART Notebook and/or Promethean Flipchart lessons (IWB) OR learn to create engaging, interactive lessons using free multimedia resources. Any school purchasing Discovery Education products through Cooperating School Districts' discount pricing can receive training online or through distance learning. All Missouri schools are offered 1-2 hour overview presentations or 3-6 hour hands-on trainings created to meet your needs.
