International Education Consortium

IEC Brings Opportunities for Social Studies, Arts and Humanities Teachers

In the 2011-2012 year, the International Education Consortium continues to bring challenging professional development to teachers. IEC is committed to offering teachers challenging opportunities to increase their knowledge of the content and pedagogy of the humanities.

Since 1986, IEC, working primarily with social studies and language arts teachers, has brought together writers, educators, and scholars to share ideas for integrating new information into classrooms. IEC programs have always demonstrated a commitment to reading, writing, talking, listening, and thinking for teachers and students alike. The work of IEC is aligned throughout with the work of the St. Louis Regional Professional Development Center. CSD's online calendar of professional development workshops showcases the programs offered through the IEC.
