Now in its 20th year, the Insurance Trust provides insurance benefits to 15,000 school employees, retirees, their spouses and dependents in 25 school districts. The Insurance Trust is a voluntary program for members of CSD. With a premium base of $100+ million, the Insurance Trust continues to grow because participating schools are able to keep medical insurance costs at well under half the statewide average, and enhanced life insurance which cut costs by up to 50% for districts.
